The OctoEverywhere plugin manager for Windows is a Windows Store app that enables easy setup, control, and maintenance of the OctoEverywhere plugin on Windows-based devices. It makes setting up the OctoEverywhere Docker plugin container for Klipper, Bambu Lab, or Elegoo-based 3D printers effortless!
Important. Depending on your 3D printer type and hardware setup, there are a few different ways to install the OctoEverywhere plugin. If you don’t know if the OctoEverywhere Plugin Manager for Windows is right for you, follow our step-by-step setup guide, which will help you decide!
Installation
The OctoEverywhere Plugin Manager uses Docker to run OctoEverywhere plugins for each of your 3D printers. So, the first step is to ensure that Docker Desktop is installed on your Windows device. Docker Desktop is free software that anyone can use and enjoy.
Once you have Docker Desktop installed (and probably have restarted your computer), install the OctoEverywhere Plugin Manager from the Windows Store.
Create A New Plugin Instance
Adding new plugin instances is very easy once you have the plugin manager installed and running. You will need to create a plugin for every 3D printer you want to connect to OctoEverywhere. You can run as many plugins as you need on a single device!
Click the “Create New Plugin Instance” button to add a plugin.

You will see a screen like the one above. Name the plugin and set the type of printer you’re connecting to. Based on the type, you will need to provide connection information. If you need help finding the connection details, click the “Need Help?” button.

When the new plugin instance is created, you will be prompted to link the plugin with your OctoEveywhere account. Just click the button and use the browser to link it!
Running & Managing Plugins
You can view logs from the main app screen and start and stop all of your plugin instances.
Your plugins will continue running in the background as long as Docker runs; you do not need to keep the OctoEverywhere plugin manager running. Docker Desktop starts when your computer starts by default, but that can be controlled in the Docker Desktop settings.

Updating Plugins
Every time the OctoEveywhere plugin manager is started, it automatically checks for plugin updates and updates your plugins if needed. You need to do nothing beyond occasionally opening the OctoEverywhere plugin manager!
