This post only applies to users directly supporting our project using PayPal. If you’re using a credit card or any other payment type, this does not apply to you.
PayPal has been increasing its per-transaction prices, and unfortunately, it has reached a level where we now need to adjust the Supporter Perks pricing to compensate. We strive to keep OctoEverywhere as accessible as possible for everyone, so we aim to keep the pricing low. However, PayPal price increases are severely affecting project support. All PayPal plans will increase in pricing by $1-3, depending on the plan. To view the direct impact of your plan, log in to OctoEverywhere and use the supporter page to manage your perks. These changes will go live on April 1st.
Since we added PayPal, we have introduced numerous additional ways for you to support the project, including cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, bank transfers, and various country-specific payment options. Any user can switch away from PayPal to avoid the price increases. To do so, just contact our support team and we will help!
As we said, we always do these Supporter perks changes as a last resort. If the pricing changes in the future and gets lower, we will lower the perks pricing to match.
