Find Your Printer’s IP Address
First, you will need to find your printer’s IP address. All devices connected to your home network have an IP address, a unique number that identifies the devices to other devices on the network. For your computer to connect to your printer and install the OctoEverywhere plugin, you need to get your Sidewinder’s IP address.
To find your Artillery Sidewinder X4’s IP address, use the printer’s display; the format will look something like 192.169.1.110. Write down the IP address; you’ll need it for the next step.

SSH is a way to connect to your Sidewinder X4 printer from your desktop or laptop computer. To SSH, you will need a terminal, such as MobaXterm, on Windows or the Terminal app on a Mac. If you need help downloading and using MobaXterm, here is an excellent guide.
When you have your terminal ready, use the following command to ssh into your Artillery Sidewinder X4:
ssh -p 22 mks@<your-printer-ip-address>
Replace the IP address with your printer’s IP address you found in the last step.
When SSHing into your Sidewinder X4, you must use a username and password. The SSH username and password for the Artillery Sidewinder X4 are:
Username: mks
Password: makerbase
When you open the SSH connection, use the password above when prompted.
